Work Study Positions
Be a workshop helper or roll-taker and receive a tuition refund! Contact us with any questions!
There are two forms of Work Study positions available:

1) Work Study Scholarship (see Work Study Scholarship Application form)

Recipient will receive a 50% to 100% discount for most BJDW classes. Some classes are not covered by the scholarship. Recipient must register for classes and pay $100 deposit + $20 registration fee (plus tuition for classes not covered by scholarship, if any). At the end of the workshop, after completion of all agreed-upon work assignments, the $100 deposit will be refunded. Contact us for more info.
NOTE: Recipient may only take 1 class in the latest time slot (i.e., only one of the following – Lyrical Jazz Repertory or Movement Invention/Cool Down) because scholarship students help in the office during this time. Out of town recipients must be available to work Saturday, July 17th – Saturday, July 31st (i.e., must arrive in Boulder no later than Friday, July 16th and depart Sunday August 1st.) Local students are expected to be available Thursday, July 15th – Sunday August 1st. Scholarship students will perform administrative assistant type duties including answering phones and dealing with other students in the office; roll-taking in classes; some “gofer” type tasks and some light physical work (such as assisting in taping the marley floor, packing boxes, etc).

2) Roll-taking positions
(along with your registration, send us a note indicating that you wish to be a roll-taker)
Roll-taker will receive a $5 refund for each class in which he/she takes roll. Roll-taker must register for classes and pay tuition in full; he/she will receive a refund check at the end of the workshop.
NOTE: roll-taker must arrive for class early, and be ready to start checking in students 15 minutes before class starting time. Since students are sometimes late, roll-taker may miss part of the warm-up in order to check in all students. Roll-taker may need to make announcements at the beginning of class. Roll-taker must attend a brief training session on Sunday, July 18th.
