Registration FAQ's

What is the deadline to register?
There is no deadline to register – we will accept registrations until classes are full. Even though classes generally fill to capacity and we advise early registration to assure that students get in the classes they want, historically we have been able to accommodate many late registrants. Call or e-mail us to find out if there is space available!

A non-refundable $100 tuition deposit and $20 registration fee will hold your place in classes until May 1st. Balance of tuition must be received by May 1st or you may lose your reservation in classes. After May 1st, your full tuition payment (and housing payment if applicable) must be received with your registration. Enrollment in classes is on a first come, first served basis. If a class has already filled at the time your registration is received, you will be wait-listed for that class.
Anyone registering after May 1st must include full payment with registration.

Can I register for only one week?
One month prior to the workshop, students may register for one week of classes on a space available basis. We recommend that you register early for the entire two weeks to assure your admittance into classes.

Can I take a single class?
Single class drop-ins are possible during the workshop as long as there is space available in the class. Check with us for single class rates.

What if I can't take class everyday?
(For example, you only want Lyrical Jazz M/W or T/Th.) One month prior to the workshop, if

I have to cancel or want to drop a class, can I get a refund?
Refunds are only possible under limited circumstances. Please read the BJDW Refund Policy (below) carefully prior to signing it. Ask us if you have any questions before you send in your payment.

What if I can't get in the classes I've requested?
Your full payment can be refunded if we are unable to confirm you in the majority of your classes. If this is the case, we will contact you before processing your registration. If you are wait-listed for a particular class and do not get in it, you will receive a refund for that class.

What is the tuition?
In general hour long technique classes (such as Turns, Hip Hop, Jazz Funk) cost $12 per class and 1.25 to 1.5 hour classes (jazz, modern, modern jazz) cost $15 a class. Certain classes including performance classes, special master classes, and seminar classes have their own unique pricing. We do our best to keep the cost of classes reasonable for our students.

Class Selection
Filling out the registration form:
1. Print or open the Schedule of Classes so you can refer to it as you fill out the Registration Form.

2. Registration is easy! Simply check the boxes of the classes you want on the registration form and the computer will add up the lines for your total. There is a reset button at the bottom if you need to start over.

3. Watch out for classes that are meeting simultaneously!

4. Click the Submit button and you are done.

Remember some classes meet at the same time. It is very important that you double check your choices against the Schedule of Classes to make sure they do not overlap.

There are * required fields in both the Personal Information and Policy sections.

After May 1st, payment in full is required when you register.
